For Anne Hintz, chaos wasn’t just around her — it lived inside her. Growing up in an unstable home filled with fear, control, and loss, her nervous system was always on high alert.
“I didn’t realize how noisy my mind was until it finally became quiet,” Anne shares. “I was always trying to keep myself safe.”
What followed was decades of internalized trauma — from surviving a childhood fire and being sent to boarding school across the world to losing her mother as a teenager. Like so many of us, she learned to push it all down and keep going.
But one moment of awareness — a doctor’s question — changed everything.
💡 The Moment Everything Shifted
During a routine visit, a holistic physician asked Anne a simple question:
“On a scale of zero to ten, how stressed are you?”
Her answer was an eight.
Then he asked why.
That question cracked open a part of her she had kept buried for decades. Tears she didn’t know she’d been holding back began to surface. The doctor guided her through a simple yet powerful process known as EFT — the Emotional Freedom Technique, or “tapping.”
“When I tapped through my mother’s death story, I could finally tell it without tears. That’s when I realized — emotions live in the body, and we can let them go.”
That discovery changed the trajectory of Anne’s life.
🧠 Healing Isn’t a Thought — It’s a Practice
With an engineering background, Anne was skeptical at first. But after seeing tangible results, she began using EFT daily — not as a quick fix, but as a new way of being.
She started asking herself simple questions:
- How am I feeling right now?
- Do I want to feel this way again?
Then she would tap through whatever came up — frustration, fear, sadness — until peace returned. Over time, she noticed something remarkable:
- Her mind grew quieter.
- Her body felt lighter.
- Her children reflected her calm instead of her stress.
“When we’re at peace inside, our kids don’t have to manage our emotions. They get to be themselves.”
Eventually, Anne went deeper — learning to sense and release the physical tension connected to her emotions. She found that her body literally changed shape as she released old patterns.
“When I let go of that inner burden, I actually grew three-quarters of an inch.”
🔮 Beyond Healing: A New Kind of Awareness
Anne’s work now bridges the emotional, physical, and spiritual. As she learned to feel into the body, she discovered what she describes as “inner vision” — an awareness that allows her to sense and release tension stored deep within her tissues.
Her journey is ongoing, but the results are undeniable: peace, clarity, and an expanded understanding of what it means to truly be present.
“There’s so much more depth to life than I ever knew. When you understand yourself deeply, you see others differently — and life becomes so much more fun.”
